Since this is such an extensive and ever expanding topic, I think it is best to take it slowly and offer some very basic bits to start with. Once these introductory systems and functions have been examined, then we can add in the layers of variety and see how the templates allow for infinite working.

The External Toroidal Flow
The first piece of this system which I’ll be focusing on is the outward, electric flow of energy, which is typically depicted as the 3D ‘doughnut’ shape. This is the masculine aspect of the whole and is rooted in a role of action, acceptance of what is, and protection of what has been established as sovereign.
The accompanied image here so us both available models of toroidal flow; positive and negative. The charge which sits atop the crown determines the orientation of the system’s flow.
The main drive of this external cycle is service intention – how do you interact with the external world?
It is crucial to have a base of knowledge formed surrounding both aspects of service before you assess your own seeking. This creates more clarity and lessens distortions.

These infographics help us to distinguish between negative and positive orientations; which we can use as markers when we assess service intention.
There is a bit of overlap between polarities and service alignment, as well as some barriers which define and restrict energetic intentions, so this can be a bit confusing when you first start to learn but if you stick with the info and allow it to soak in, you’ll find deeper and deeper connections and confirmations as you go along.
What is positive service ?
Any positively aligned system has some very basic rules which it cannot go against without inverting and “discrediting” the assigned laws or truths of positive service:
- Recognizes and accepts its Sovereignty / the One Truth
- Repercussion of this acceptance is acknowledging this Truth of all Others
- Offers out energetic service freely
- Without expectations, just because it feels right/true/honest
- Receives in energetic service freely
- No guilt or strings attached, because you’ve already added to the system
- Seeks to evolve with transparency, honesty and love for the highest good of not just the self but by extension the Whole, as well
If transactions go against these truths and create distortions, illusions or misrepresentations of any of these laws, the service loses its positive charge and the poles flip – causing the system to invert and become negatively oriented.
Positive Alignment as seen as “Service to Others”
We generally call a positive alignment: Service to Others – why?
Also, how can you make sure your needs are met if you constantly focus on ‘service to others’? Aren’t you aligning with “Service to Self” by meeting your needs? Isn’t that negative and so a “bad” thing?
These are some common misconceptions I hope to clear up.
The mainstream, common idea of service to others is a bit superficial and shallow – it’s not that there isn’t any substance behind it, but rather the surface level reflection is so easily seen by all that it becomes taken for granted.
Because it is so easy to observe certain forms of direct service to another, and we readily interact in tons of variations of that kind of ‘service’; with others constantly, in society and industry – we tend to think these types of actions make up the totality of service to others and as long as we are doing something for someone else, then we are being positive, collecting a positive charge and aligning with positive service – but this is not true what-so-ever.
Service to others does not simply mean doing favors for people, giving compliments or sending love/prayers to others. Actually, you can do all those things within the Service to Self spectrum and be completely negatively aligned while you offer ‘help’, say something nice or ‘pray’ for someone.
This isn’t rocket science here, this kind of logic actually makes sense! And when you look at those two types of service you see right away that the defining point between the two is the intention of the offer, right? Intention we put into the service is what sets the alignment and allows a charge to be collected: positive or negative.
The honest intention of true service towards others has at its core, a connection to the Whole, the One Truth and in extension it is service to God, Source, the Universe, the Ether, or whatever you’d like to view that cosmic infinite intelligence as.
This means that when we are taking care of ourselves, honestly with integrity and sovereignty, we are truly proving a service to God because we are a reflection of that being and because all others are also their own unique reflection, we are simultaneously performing a service to the collective “other” or Great Other as I call it usually. By offering honest service to our own inner “selves” we are servicing others technically because we all impact the Whole of Humanity.
It should be called Service to All Others or the Great Other.
When we realize that this connection to Source is what sets the intention of the system, we can better assess organic alignments, to understand whether they are operating in an organic negative role or if the system is truly an inverted, negative structure aligned with Service to Self.
As I said above, this is how/why we sometimes confuse self love and care with Service to Self.
So, then what does Service to Self really mean?
The problem with wording here is similar to the misconceptions with Service to Others – we immediately see the surface reflection which states, but if I’m not in service to myself and for myself, then my needs will go unmet. This is not exactly true, but it also points to the distortion quite clearly – we feel the debt based system at work, the lie. Not having or being enough is one of the most commonly experienced 3rd ray/density themes or lessons. When we finally realize the lie and accept the One Truth, that we are in fact enough because we are limitless by design, then most service will align positively and we can transition into the 4th layer – the heart and unconditional love.
Until this recognition of immortality and Oneness happens, one can trick itself into denying its sovereignty and operating within a negative alignment, this most obviously means that the system is debt based and limited, it cannot go on unless more is brought in. This notion of expenditure becomes a truth or law within Service to Self.
The focus of service is on drawing in what it needs to ensure survival, stability and predictability. This is why the orientation is called Service to Self, it puts the Self before all Others, especially Source/God. It cannot connect with the Truth of Oneness because that would shatter its distorted need to draw in more to sustain its Being-ness. This is how/why the heart and soul become muted, blocked, caged or disassociated from – because only by avoiding the Truth can they keep this negative system running. It’s what I like to call a liar’s loop.
Service to Self can be either positive or negatively polarized, too
The only way something can ever be truly negative – that means to collect, maintain and exert a negative charge – is by directly harming another. When your service to self action or system places its Self above all others and chooses Its sustainability in direct opposition to the well being or peace of any other system, then that system, its subsets and its creator are harnessing a negative polarity.
If some choice pins you against some other person – and attempts to place ones well being over the other – then we have a negative energetic result, no matter which proposition is chosen. No manner of explanation or justification can counteract or off set energy exchanges or charge collection. Frequency is the language of this reality and yours speaks directly with all around you, whether you “know” it or not!
Our toroidal flow is a bit like a spoken language with reverberates out into the universe. If you understand what type of service you’re seeking and why; then you are much more likely to speak out clearly and receive what you expect back.
This brings me to the final point I’d like to address here, about the external toroidal – this third of the whole is all about interacting with external systems – just as the male energy is one of outward action and direction. The themes are within the scope of Lightwork on the energy alchemy spectrum and should be reviewed and worked with during peak Light times during your light/shadow cycles.
